About RePower Wiscasset
RePower Wiscasset is a community-driven initiative under the auspices of the Maine Energy Investment Corporation. We were formed with a clear mission: to repurpose land acquired from the decommissioned Maine Yankee nuclear plant into a hub for clean energy and sustainable development.
Located on the Back River waterfront, near an underutilized substation, the site holds immense potential for business due to the existing infrastructure as well as its unique location surrounded by the stunning beauty of the rugged Maine coast. We aim to attract and advocate for developments that balance economic development with conservation in ways that align with our commitment toward the stewardship of our environment and our town.
